Frequently Asked Questions

No. Many kids start with little to no experience. Our 8-week Acting Kickstarter course is specifically designed to help beginners build confidence, learn how auditions work, and develop the core skills needed to perform naturally on camera. This is the ultimate preparation for castings as a beginner and a fast track to getting auditions.

These classes are ideal for children and teens ages 6-19 who are serious about exploring acting for commercials, TV, film, and related on-camera opportunities. On your call with an agent, we can help determine whether the program is a good fit for your child’s age, personality, and goals.

During each lesson, kids and teens will get a chance to work on practical skills that matter in real auditions, such as confidence on camera, slates, monologues, script reading, emotional expression, listening, taking direction, and performing in a more natural and believable way.

All our workshops are taught by a fully trained, working actor and agent at TN Model & Talent. They work in-house, managing client profiles and submitting talent actively to over 40+ castings per day so they are very in-tune with the latest trends and demands in the industry. We audition child actors on a daily basis and our coaches adapt to every child/teenagers unique learning abilities and personalities.

Not at all. Some families join because their child is serious about acting professionally, while others want to build confidence, communication skills, and on-camera presence. The training is valuable either way.

There is also the added benefit of a clear path toward agency representation, giving your child the opportunity to begin apply these skills in real auditions for TV, film, and commercials.

A child does not need to be outgoing or “super theatrical” to be a good fit. Many strong young actors are quiet, thoughtful, and highly coachable. The best first step is to book a call so we can learn more about your child and guide you honestly.

Yes. Parents play an important role, especially for younger children. You are there to make sure they are prepared for their initial meeting and classes if you decide to join. Since we have a pathway to agency component, we want parents who understand the process of auditioning as it sometimes involves practicing on a phone at home to get the best results.

As far as attendance, parents may drop their kids off but you’re always welcome to stay and watch. We’ve found that sometimes they learn better when parents aren’t watching, but we always leave that decision up to you and your child.

We want families to understand the process and be well-informed, know what is expected, and feel clear on whether this path makes sense before moving forward. That is exactly why the call comes first.

In just 30 minutes, your child can receive a live acting assessment, professional feedback from a TN agent, insight into real casting opportunities, and a clear next-step plan for training and development.

The format will be as follows:

  1. Introductions to learn your child’s availability, interests, and acting goals

  2. Commercial monologue assessment using a script provided by TN or one you bring yourself

  3. Live feedback and direction from an agent to help identify strengths and areas for improvement

  4. Discussion of real casting opportunities on the agency side so there is a clear goal for what skills need to be developed

  5. Program guidance and next steps, including pricing, curriculum breakdown, class availability, group vs. private coaching, and virtual vs. in-person options
